ABOUT
Wine by Ana
Wine by Ana grew out of something simple: my love for sharing wine in a way that feels warm, human, and free of pressure.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve watched people shrink a little when the topic of wine comes up, that awkward “Who wants to taste?” moment at a restaurant, the fear of mispronouncing a grape variety, or the hesitation to ask a “basic” question. I’ve felt that too. And it always struck me as such a shame, because wine isn’t meant to intimidate anyone!
To me, wine is a story. A landscape. A craft. A cultural thread that ties people together. And none of that should require a secret code to enjoy.
Over the years, I realised something: most people want to connect with wine, they just need someone to make that space feel comfortable, welcoming, and genuinely fun. That’s where Wine by Ana comes in.

I created this project to offer personalised wine experiences that feel both thoughtful and effortless. As your private sommelier in the South of France, I curate wines, design tastings, and craft moments that highlight the beauty and diversity of this incredible region.
Whether it’s an intimate dinner, a corporate gathering, a retreat, a holiday experience, or a special celebration, my goal is to help you slow down, savour, learn, laugh, and enjoy wine in a way that feels true to you.
No pretension. No pressure. Just good wine, good company, and experiences that stay with you.
A Little About Me

I was born in the UK but have lived in France my entire life, growing up between two cultures that shaped who I am long before wine entered the picture. Being bilingual and bicultural has always been a big part of my identity, it makes me naturally curious, open-minded, and comfortable connecting with people from all backgrounds. In a way, that blend of influences is also what eventually drew me to the world of wine.
My interest in wine began around the age of 20, right as I was choosing my Master’s degree. Why wine? Honestly, I still can’t fully explain it (yes, I know… I’m that person). I grew up immersed in French wine culture without ever being much of a drinker, but something clicked the first time someone introduced me to red wine. There was something about that dark, intense, fermented juice that made me wonder: What makes wine… well, wine? Why are people so passionate about it? And why was I suddenly so intrigued?
I felt pulled toward a world I knew nothing about and even considered studying wine professionally. But life had other plans, and I chose a Master’s related to my background in languages and business instead.
Diploma in hand, and after a year of travel, I somehow found myself right back in the wine world. I started working for the wine contest of the Hérault Valley in Languedoc, my all-time favourite place and home to one of the most exciting wine scenes in France. That first experience opened doors, and soon after, I joined the team behind the World Contest for Organic Wines and Beers in Montpellier.
Working every year on such a large-scale event, surrounded by passionate (and seriously fun) people, tasting incredible wines, and meeting so many different profiles from across the industry, made me realise just how much I loved this world. So I took it further and completed my WSET Level 2 and 3 certifications.
Today, I taste, explore, talk about, and of course enjoy wine (with moderation…). I created Wine by Ana to share this passion and make wine feel accessible, engaging, and truly memorable. Whether through bespoke experiences, workshops, or unique events, my goal is to help people connect with wine in a way that feels real, personal, and joyful.
So here’s to good wine, good stories, and great memories, and to the beautiful blend of cultures, places, and people that brought me here.
